UCAT ANZ Concession Scheme

Candidates who hold (or who are listed as a dependant on) a current Health Care Card (HCC) or Pensioner Concession Card (PCC), both of which are issued by Centrelink, are eligible for a reduced test fee.  The concession fee is not available to New Zealand candidates or candidates sitting the test outside Australia. 

Only holders of a valid HCC or PCC are eligible for the Concession fee; claims of financial hardship based on other criteria cannot be considered. Note: Medicare cards are not eligible for the concession fee.


You will need to submit your concession application before you make your test booking (step 2 of the Registration and Booking process) to be eligible for this reduced fee. 

Concession scheme opens: 3 February 2020
Booking opens: 2 March 2020
Deadline for concession applications: 4 May 2020 at 5pm AEST

Booking closes: 11 May 2020 at 11:59pm AEST
Bookings made after 11:59pm AEST on 11 May 2020 will incur the additional $75 late fee. 
Late booking deadline: 18 May 2020 at 11.59pm AEST

You need to meet one of the criteria below and be able to provide relevant documentary evidence to support your application.  Applications without the correct supporting evidence or late applications will not be considered.  Please ensure you have sought the permission of any third party before you provide any evidence which may include their personal data.

Application Process

The concession scheme closed on 4 May 2020.

All applications should be made using the online Concession form where you will also upload your evidence. Your application will be rejected if you do not provide the full evidence required by the application deadline of 5pm AEST on 4 May 2020.

The steps in the concession process are:

Step 1 - Create your Pearson VUE account 

Step 2 - Complete the online Concession application form at the bottom of this page where you will upload a copy of your concession card by 4 May 2020 at 5pm AEST

Step 3 - Receive email approval with a concession voucher number within approximately 2 business days

Step 4 - Once bookings open on 2 March 2020 you will be able to login to your Pearson VUE account and book your test where you will enter your concession voucher number at the payment page to access the concession fee ($199). You should book your test by the booking deadline of 11 May 2020 at 11.59pm AEST. Bookings made after this date incur an additional late fee of $75. Late bookings close on 18 May at 11.59pm AEST and no further bookings are accepted after this deadline under any circumstances.

Your UCAT ANZ ID number is assigned when you successfully register your Pearson VUE account and is given in your account.

All applications are processed within 2 business days. If you have not received an email from our office within this time please email the UCAT ANZ Office and we will check on progress. Before contacting us please check that an email has not been sent to your junk or spam folder. Please do not upload multiple applications.

If you have already paid the full test fee you will need to cancel your full fee test through your Pearson VUE account to receive a refund, and submit your concession application by the Concession Scheme deadline of 5pm AEST 4 May 2020.
