Rescheduling a Test
If you are not fit to take your test due to illness or other personal circumstances you must reschedule your test to a later date, even if this means losing the test fee (see details below). If you choose to take the test, such issues will not be accepted as Mitigating Circumstances. You cannot reschedule a test by email.
Regional test centres have limited test dates and you may have to travel to another location to sit the test if appointments are not available at your regional test centre. If your booking is near the end of the testing period, there may not be any available appointments for you to reschedule to.
Rescheduling before the final booking window (11:59pm AEST on 1 June)
You may reschedule your test through your Pearson VUE account until 11:59pm AEST on 1 June.
Rescheduling after the final booking window deadline (11:59pm AEST on 1 June)
After the final booking window deadline, you need to phone Pearson VUE Customer Services to reschedule your test. You may reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment time.
You still need to give the appropriate amount of notice even though the Pearson VUE Customer Services helpline is only available Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 (local time). For example, if your appointment is on a Monday, in order to reschedule you will need to contact Pearson VUE Customer Services before 6pm (local time) on the preceding Friday.
If you miss this deadline you will need to pay the test fee again to reschedule your test appointment (subject to availability). The availability of test appointments and times will be very limited in the last week of testing. In some circumstances you may need to travel to another location if there are no available appointments at your preferred test location.
Rescheduling to or from an overseas test centre
If you are booked to sit the test at an overseas test centre and need to reschedule to an Australian/ New Zealand test centre you will need to email the UCAT ANZ Office for assistance. This also applies to candidates who are booked at an Australian/ New Zealand test centre who need to reschedule to an overseas test centre. Refer to the list of overseas test centre locations.
Requests should be made with as much advance notice as possible and rescheduling is subject to the availability of appointments.
Cancelling a Test
You cannot cancel a test by email.
In order to obtain a refund, you need to cancel your test through your Pearson VUE account by the cancellation deadline of 11.59pm AEST on 18 May 2020. If you miss this deadline your test fee will not be refunded.
Missed Tests (No-shows)
If you miss your test for any reason, the appointment will count as a 'no-show' and you will not be eligible for a refund or free reschedule. This applies in cases of illness, family emergency, accident, arrest, transport problems and security alert as well as forgetfulness and lateness. It also applies to those who arrive at the test centre with inadequate/ invalid identification and where the name on your account does not match your name on your identification. These rules equally apply to candidates who have used a concession voucher to contribute to their test fee.
