Due to the evolving situation created by COVID-19 Pearson VUE need to make some adjustments to the way test centres are set up to allow for social distancing seat spacing. This is to ensure the health and safety of you and test centre staff.   

To meet social distancing requirements, Pearson VUE need to allow extra spacing between workstations, which means that some workstations where candidates are currently booked will be closed to create the extra spacing.  

Any candidate booked at a closed workstation at these test centres will be asked to reschedule their test. In many cases the new appointment will be at the same test centre, but in some cases, additional test centres have been set up to ensure there is enough capacity for all candidates. It is important to understand that not every candidate is affected.  

If your appointment is at a closed workstation you will receive a reschedule notice from Pearson VUE. Please follow the instructions provided, login to your Pearson VUE account and reschedule your appointment.

You will be able to reschedule yourself online until Monday 1 June (11:59pm AEST). If you do not take action by that date you will need to contact Pearson VUE Customer Services and have them carry out the reschedule for you.

If your appointment is not at a closed workstation you will not receive any further notification and do not need to do anything. You can confirm your appointment has not changed by logging into your Pearson VUE account and checking that your booking details still match your original booking. If there are any discrepancies, please contact Pearson VUE Customer Services.

Pearson VUE Customer Services wait times are considerably impacted due to the high volume of calls and the fact that many staff members are having to work from home, hence under less than ideal circumstances. Please avoid contacting them regarding COVID-19 as they have no further information other than what is detailed at this page of our website (see below).

If you have a question related to your booking or require other assistance, please refer to our website and FAQs before contacting Customer Services as the information there may answer your query. Alternatively, candidates may wish to use the Pearson VUE email form provided here. Please allow up to 5 business days to receive a response.

These are difficult times for all concerned, so please be patient. Updates will be posted on this page when more information becomes available.

Update 24 March 2020

On Wednesday, March 11, the World Health Organization classified COVID-19 (coronavirus) as a pandemic. The UCAT ANZ Consortium is continuing to monitor the global situation as it relates to the delivery of UCAT ANZ in 2020 (for entry to university in 2021).  Working alongside our business partner Pearson VUE, we will act in accordance with all government mandates and official recommendations to safeguard our candidates around the world. Some international test centres are currently closed, but we expect this to change before July.

We do expect testing to go ahead in 2020. However, candidates will appreciate that in the current climate we cannot predict when our test centres in Australia, New Zealand and internationally will be operating normally.  It is possible that timelines for testing will shift from those which usually apply. Registration and booking is open and we encourage candidates to proceed as normal under the current timeline. Please refer to the booking deadlines. A decision regarding testing times will be made closer to July and communicated to ALL our candidates.

Many schools are closed and universities are working remotely. It is important that candidates continue to work towards their academic goals and to prepare for the UCAT ANZ using the considerable amount of preparation materials available on our website. There is a suggested timetable for preparation given in our Preparation Plan video and we encourage candidates to follow this. Refer to the preparation advice and practice tests at our website.

We are liaising closely with our Consortium medical and dental schools; any changes to the delivery of the UCAT ANZ 2020 test will be made in consultation with these universities. 

We will update our website as soon as we are able with any new information regarding delivery of the UCAT ANZ in 2020.
